In the P1TS User Guide I’ve written …

This chart helps you to visualize:

• The rate at which other cars are gaining or falling behind the hero car.
• The projected pitstops of cars. (Possibly automated in the future.)
• Any position changes relative to the hero using the two dashed horizontal reference lines. (Specify pitstop delta times in the Settings tab.)

My original thinking behind its design was, to allow decision makers to quickly see if cars will be ahead or behind by seeing if competitors are currently above or below the dashed “pitstop delta” lines.

I, along with Rick, study the race through our softwares while your teams are on the track. During the last half of the 12 Hours of Sebring, we had some teams that were fighting to get their lap back while others were trying to put competitors a lap down.

It occurred to me that you could also set one of the delta lines equal to your green lap time. This would allow you to visually see on the race gapchart, how close cars are to becoming a lap up or down. Let me know what you think.
