What a Year

The 2020 race season for P1Software’s customers in both SRO Motorsports Group and IMSA has finally come to a close. We thank our customers and friends for your trust in us during a long and challenging year. Although Covid impacted our travel schedule, what had not changed was our ability to remotely support and join in our customer’s highs and lows.

We continued working with our long-time IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Michelin Pilot Challenge, Prototype Challenge, and Lamborghini Super Trofeo customers. With over 30 podiums among our 2020 customers, special congratulations to these 2020 champions: IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup GTD, Manufacturer – Lamborghini IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup GTD, Team – Paul Miller Racing Michelin Pilot Challenge GS, Team – KohR Motorsports

SRO Motorsports America

This was to be our first full year introducing P1TS to SRO Motorsports America competitors. While Covid limited our track-side presence, we were able to work with existing GT3, GT2, GT4, and TCA customers and welcome new customers at the Circuit of the Americas season opener and at the Intercontinental GT Challenge at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. P1TS for SRO customers enjoyed its delivery as a service running in the Amazon Web Services cloud. Faced with reduced race weekends, P1TS for SRO’s zero install and update allowed teams more time to focus on other tasks and negligible time managing software. With over 50 podiums among our 2020 customers, special congratulations to these 2020 champions: TC, Team – Classic BMW TCA, Team – Boehm Racing

SRO Motorsports Official Partner

P1Software also became an SRO Motorsports America Official Partner, and worked with SRO to create new ways to increase fan enjoyment, furthering our goal of making motorsports understandable through software, dataviz, and datascience.

• CrowdStrike / AWS commentators explained the race in their live exclusive virtual experience broadcasts using P1TS, the same web service used by race teams.
  
• Race Vision Powered by AWS was introduced across two continents in SRO Motorsports America and Europe’s GT World Challenge Powered by AWS live streams and TV broadcasts. We collaborated with other professionals to produce automated real-time telemetry analyses at races including Indianapolis 8 Hour and 24 Hours of Spa, so fans can find out who has the biggest doo dahs.

What’s Next

As we catch our breath, expect the following for 2021:

• Pricing for P1TS and P1Analysis.com in 2021 remains unchanged from 2020 and may be ordered now.
• Strat 2 will be the new name for P1TS X-Apps, making it more prominent. We believe more customers will get good use from its pit strategy and overtake forecasting.
• Web meetings – Let us know what instructional topics you’d like (e.g., basics, Strat 2, using live CSV files).
