P1Software 2022 Review

The 2022 season finales for P1Software’s customers SRO Motorsports Group America and IMSA have completed and champions have been crowned. We sincerely thank all our customers for trusting us to support your racing efforts and thank you for your friendship.

Our success can be measured by the successes of our customers. This year teams using P1Software have won 7 championships:

  • IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD Pro and GTD Sprint
  • SRO GT World Challenge America ProAm
  • SRO GT4 America Silver and Am
  • SRO GT America GT4
  • SRO TC America TCX

Major race accomplishments include grueling endurance wins at 12 Hours of Sebring, 6 Hours of the Glen, Motul Petit Le Mans, and 2 wins at Indianapolis 8 Hour.

Our customers stood on the team race podiums a total of 214 times, with 67 1st Place wins, 73 2nd Place finishes, and 74 3rd Place finishes.

International Motor Sports Association

We continued suppporting our long-time IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Michelin Pilot Challenge, Prototype Challenge, and Lamborghini Super Trofeo customers.

With 83 race podiums (P1 – 24, P2 – 28, P3 – 31) among our 2022 IMSA customers, we congratulate these champions:

 

This year we introduced P1TS PitWatcher mid-season to help engineers on the pit stand manage minimum pit stop times (pit in loop to pit out loop) enforced in Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Prototype Challenge as well as in SRO GTWCA and GT4A. By inputing some basic information, car release countdowns are displayed on PitWatcher, supplementing driver’s VBox timers.

For 2023 we look forward to welcoming VP Racing SportsCar Challenge teams.

SRO Motorsports America

Our 2022 SRO customers stood on the podium 131 times (P1 – 43, P2 – 45, P3 – 43) and captured these championships:

       

Teams sampled and gave positive feedback on our early efforts porting P1Analysis interactive reports for SRO. Both P1TS and P1Analysis will be updated to operate with anticipated behind the scenes timing and scoring changes for 2023.

New Season

No one in racing has a true “off season” – including us. Although we’re not at the track, we’ve been full speed experimenting and developing software ahead of 2023. Here’s what you might expect:

  • While our expenses have increased, we’re not changing our P1TS and P1Analysis.com pricing for 2023 – they haven’t increased in 8 years. We can invoice you now to get on your 2022 or 2023 books.
  • While we continue to push the boundaries of our existing offerings with new substantial features like PitWatcher and SRO P1Analysis, we also have interesting projects to develop into products by working with team engineers – we’ll share them as they unfold.
  • As always, we we’re here to help. We can schedule web or phone conferences to get crew up to speed before you head for the track or to discuss any data related questions.
